#MovieTime 2: Love, Rosie | Review

No comments:

Hello my loves, how are you today?

Have you read any of Cecelia Ahern's books? I'm such a big fan of hers and so far got all of her books. I must admit I haven't had the time to read the last two though, life just got too busy but that still leaves another eight of her books that I absolutely adored. I am such a girl. My favourite one was Where Rainbows End (known as either Rosie Dunne or Love, Rosie in the US), so you can imagine how excited I was when a few months back I found out that someone finally made good use of the film rights and started producing a movie.

#APieceofCake 5: Photoshoot

Hello my loves, how are you today?

I apologise for taking ages to post the photos of my little photoshoot back in September. I decided to use some of them for my mum's birthday present and I wasn't too sure how regularly she was gonna have a peek at this blog, so I kept postponing this post just to make sure I didn't spoil any surprises.
Thanks again to my lovely friend Lizzy who's taken the time to try and snap some decent photos of me. If any of you are a bit more interested in what else she's doing in the whole big world of photography, just check out her website Lisa-Heidenbluth.de. For the photography enthusiasts amongst you: all photos were taken with a Nikon D300 and a 17-55mm f/2.8 Nikon lens.

WOW: 100+ followers! THANK YOU!

Hello my loves, how are you today?

I've reached 100+ followers on Bloglovin!!! Thank you so much!

If you're following me on Twitter, you've seen that I've actually reached my first milestone on Tuesday evening already but I thought it'd be nice to use Bloglovin's congratulation email as a screenshot for this... I just never received it. :((
Anyway, thank you very, very much for following me and reading whatever I've got to say. I really appreciate it that you put up with me. ♥ Also, I've got a new weekly feature coming up and plan to publish the first post today. So stay tuned.

Until next time,

#APieceofCake 4: My Nectar List

No comments:

Hello my loves,

How are you today?

Do you remember my Bucket List? I don't know when I started thinking about the things I want to do, see and achieve in life but I kind of always had a bucket list somewhere in the back of my mind. It took me a long time, to start writing it down and I doubt that the list I posted on here is long exhausted.

If you remember I recently did the #100happydays challenge and am quite proud of myself to have made it through the 100 days without failure. Those 100 days have definitely helped me to get into a mindset of a healthier and happier outlook on life; however, sometimes in our busy and hectic lives I think it is nice to have a reminder why we are lucky to live the life we have. While I was browsing  the web for ideas what to put into my A Piece of Cake series I came across this post and I think she is completely right. As it was so nicely put:
We need to reflect on the good things that have come to us in our lives. Even if you don’t feel like you’ve done anything huge with your life just yet, I guarantee you can find something to look back on and be proud of.

That’s why I’m suggesting we all make what I like to call a Nectar List. It’s a lot like a Bucket List, but instead of listing the things we want to do before we kick the bucket, we list the things that have been the nectar of our existence so far.

Therefore, after the cut enjoy the pride of my life: My Nectar List.

Hello my beauties, how are you today?

If you live in the UK you've probably already seen this quirky ad. After a few months, I couldn't help myself and made my way over to the No7 counter at Boots to find out myself what the fuss is about and get my hands on a lovely bright red that suits me.

#APieceofCake 3: My Bucket List

No comments:

Hello my loves,

How are you today? I've had a terrible day at work (we're not going into details here, quite embarrassing) and am nursing a bad headache right now. Let's hope my pain killers are gonna kick in shortly.
Anway, as I haven't fallen asleep within the first hour of getting home, I figured I can use the time to post the third part of #APieceofCake.
Let me give you a better understanding of my dreams, hopes and plans. I present you My Bucket List.

#100happydays - Days 82 to 94

No comments:

Hello my loves, I hope you are all well.

My probation period at work has finally gone into the practical phase. After two weeks of induction and training and some more training, I spent the past 8 working days (and a few Saturdays) at a restaurant, working my bum off and thoroughly enjoying myself. I think I'm finally getting into some kind of routine and am getting used to the full-time workload (plus the extra hours and days and well... that's what you get when you start in hospitality, isn't it?). This week I've got quite a steady schedule (9 to 5, how does that sound?) and actually a Saturday-Sunday weekend, so I'm looking forward to planning and scheduling posts and getting this blog back on track.

If you are following me on Instagram, you know that I've already finished my #100happydays challenge; nevertheless, as I started to post them on this blog a while ago it just felt wrong to keep the last almost 20 days off this blog. Below the cut, you'll find a photo-loaded summary of days 82 to 94. Enjoy!

Review: MAC Lustre Lipstick in Viva Glam VI

No comments:

Hello my beauties, how have you been?

Some of you might remember, some maybe not - it's been a while - in August I treated myself to my very first MAC lipstick! After a rather long browse at the MAC store I had eventually picked their Viva Glam VI from the Lustre finish range. I initially picked this colour as my mum kept complaining about the wide range of pinks I have in my lipstick collection, however, I must say this one quickly became my new favourite colour I own.

#APieceofCake 2: Blogmopolitan Quiz

No comments:
Hey my loves,

How are you today? Life here is pretty busy at the moment and I'm always to knackered once I get home, I'm struggling to find the time to turn my laptop on. I really hope, I'll accustom to the situation soon-ish and get back to blogging more regularly. :(

A while ago I came across Erin's Blogmopolitan Quiz and I thought it'd be an absolute brilliant tool to squeeze into my #aPieceofCake series and give you a little more insight in how my mushy brain works from time to time. It's pretty basic and I do realise that I'm quite late for that anyway but filling it out was loads of fun.

After a few intensive days of training I'll have my first proper day at work tomorrow, please keep your fingers crossed. I'm way too nervous.

How have you been?

My MAC Wishlist

Hello my beauties,

How are you today? I started my food and beverage training today and am getting closer and closer to my first day at the actual hotel, I'm getting really excited.

Anyway, as I mentioned my budget is quite tight at the moment which isn't exactly ideal when you've got to spend your time in an expensive city like London. I know there are quite a few museums around but at the weekend I didn't really feel like going into town and consequently ended at Westfield Stratford City which is, if I understood correctly, only the 3rd biggest shopping centre in the UK - oh dear. I'm not sure if having such a massive shopping centre pretty close-by is in favour of my purse, haha. I highly doubt it considering all the different outlets to buy makeup. Browsing through MAC I did already find a few new bit that I really want to try/buy and as soon as I've got some money spare, I'll definitely head over and get my hands on them...

#APieceOfCake 1: 50 Questions Tag

No comments:
Hello my loves,

A Piece of Cake is gonna be a regular feature on this blog, so you guys can get to know me better. I'm hoping my #100happydays give you quite an insight into my life but this is gonna be more about my personality, etc. I thought the best way to start this is with the 50 Questions Tag. Jenn did one recently and basically tagged everyone who wanted to have a go. So get some popcorn and a drink, it might take a while...
